Emigrated to South Africa from England in 1969. Worked in Durban and Rhodesia and arrived in Cape Town in 1972.
Occupation Professional Structural Engineer.
Attended classes in still life painting and life drawing at the Cape Town Art Centre in Green Point from 1973-1978
and was awarded various prizes.
From 1979 to 1981 painted in the studio of Josef Osser (1908-1988) in Sea Point; still life and landscape in acrylic.
Retired to Onrus River in 2004 and became a non-painting member of Hermanus Art Society until its demise in 2008.
In 2007 built small studio extension to his house and started painting in oil.
In 2007-2010 took part in monthly “crit” group with previous members of Hermanus Art Society.
